Thanks for fucking up the curve (bell curve) nerd. :DOriginally posted by DS-COUSIN View PostHey yall...I just looked at this post from just over 3yrs ago. I just pulled this off my daughter's myspace. A little background, I bought her, her first snowboard for Xmas this year and took her to Mt. Shasta (Shasta, CA) to board. Absolutely one of the most amazing week's we've had. As a digress, here is what I pulled off her page. I was BLOWN AWAY, teared up and had no idea it was even there. (Remember, she was 13 when I posted this originally, and now she is 16) HERE GOES:
"My dad is my savior. I enjoy when im with him, and he always finds a way to make me smile. I know I dont see him often, and I feel really bad about it. But It only makes the times we do see each other even more special than they already are. My dad is my dad, no matter what other people think. Step or not, he is my dad, and always will be. He has done so much for me, that no other man can even compare themselves to him, and no other man will be my father. He is the best role model, and the best father a kid could ask for. He has a great sense of style, and I love shopping with him; after i eat of course. I love snow boarding with him, because he always makes me feel like I can do anything; even when im not snoboarding. I love to dance in the car with him with music, and shuffling through the random radio stations and sing the song if we know them, from old tunes to new ones. I just cant picture a life without him, and I know it'd be hard. I love him so much, and I just wish sometimes i'd show it more, because I feel like I dont give him enough credit for what he truly does for me. Mentally, Physically, and Emotionally. He is just an amazing dad, and he needs to get more credit. I love you so much dad. I really, really do. "

Just settin' the bar brotha...
As a Dad, it just makes me melt.
We're going to some cagefights at the end of the month where my boys are fighting at, my buddy fighting got us both t-shirts for the 2nd row. I told her and she shreaked with excitement. That's all she has been talking about for a week. Funny how things so little and inexpensive can make your child, at any age so filled with joy and elation...In a work, I feel ROCKIN'!

Oh boy this thread makes me think what's coming for me my daughter is almost 8 years old so I have a little while to go before I get all that fun stuff.
All I can say is I hope my daughter thinks of me the same way when she gets to be that age. It's obvious that you are doing a great job DS so my hat is off to you.
Couple weeks ago I took my daughter for some snow boarding also now she is hooked every time she gets on the phone with me first thing she asks is when are we going back to snowboarding. here is a picture of her in her snowbunny outfit. :)

wna: Trust me brotha, she will think of you that way. If you're separated from her Mom, just take the high road on crap, don't buy into the Mom's short-comings as a person, and just be there for her. My daughter loves Dad & daughter salon days (pedicure for me, mani & pedi for her) and yes, I let her pick out the toenail polish. I can hear your response, so here's mine :fufool: LOL! I should post the last color she picked, ORANGE, with a flower or a dragonfly on the big toe. haha. Anyway, it's a blast being a Dad.Originally posted by wnabeabeast View PostOh boy this thread makes me think what's coming for me my daughter is almost 8 years old so I have a little while to go before I get all that fun stuff.

We haven't had a salon day yet but we do tons of other stuff together( I am sure manicure and pedicure days are coming soon) and luckly for me her mom and I are in great terms, we used to fight like cats and dogs but now...me, my girlfriend my ex and her boyfriend are great friends every time she drops my daughter off to my house she brings some kind of gift for my girlfriend so knock on wood things are going great for me. :DOriginally posted by DS-COUSIN View Postwna: Trust me brotha, she will think of you that way.
