No, and I pm'd him to call me yesterday or when he's safe. I'm sure he evacuated and doesn't have internet access. He's got family here in FL, maybe that's where he went to.
There's a lot of areas without power right now so if he stayed in his area or close, chances are he won't be able to get online or make any calls for a while.
There are also some areas that have complete curfew, no leaving your house whatsoever, if a cop sees you on your block even, you're supposed to be arrested.
Hope we hear from him soon.

So far there are 50 dead in 1 county in mississippi. Most of the hard hit areas have no connection to the outside world. The pictures you see on TV are the areas that got off easy compared to some of the places that we will start seing in the next few days. I would guess that when its all said and done this thing will have taken hundreds if not thousands of lives. This is the biggest natural disaster to ever hit the US.

It's just too bad it didn't weaken sooner. They are saying we are gonna get the remnants tonight into tomorrow. Everyone says it's going to be bad, but I don't think so compared to what we got last year and definitely not compared to what the south just got.

At least they're on their way--lots of people have nowhere to go or have died. This is going to take a while for us to understand the extent of the devastation, but it's gonna be really sad.Originally posted by tripmy cousins 100 year old home he just restored and his business were 1/2 mile from the levy that broke, they lost everything, they are on their way to florida to stay with his wifes brother

I have 3 sisters and a brother that live in the New Orleans area. One of my sisters has a house on the lakefront, or should I say had. Another sister has a house in kenner which is also suppose to be under a good amount of water. I think my brothers home may be ok and my third sister is leaving houston now to come and stay here with her 5 kids and mother. This storm has left so many thousands homeless it's ridiculous. It breaks my heart to think that so many things that people have worked their entire lifes for is gone in a day. I just hope the death toll stays as low as possible.
