  • HEADACHES...

    ANYONE IN HERE GET HEADACHES WHEN THEY LIFT? I KEEP GETTING HEADACHES IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD...WHAT THE HELL?????????

    Have you checked your blood pressure?

    BTW, don't type in caps, it's annoying and it means that you're YELLING!

      HEADACHES....

      Yes i have had my blood pressure checked and its great. I dont want to stop lifting and lose all my gains. I dont have health insur. so havent been to the doc yet. Any other suggestions...and sorry for the caps..not yelling just worried...

        I hope this doesn't sound condescending as I don't know your workout history etc however, what do your breathing techniques look like? I know that if I do not breathe properly that I can have mind numbing headaches etc???????

          Yeah, holding your breath can give you little sparklies and those are bad. My bet is it has to do with your breathing.

            i havent changed any of my breathing.. though I have been pushing myself really hard at the gym lately. Ill try to pay more attention-Thanks

              Num1son has the best advice in your other thread based on the fact that you said you get these headaches during other strenuous excercises as well. I would recommend his advice in addition to focusing on form and breathing. There can be several contributing factors...

                I hav a horible headache right now. I thought I would share that. If you pull a muscle or strain a muscle it causes headches

                  I too really recently have been getting these HORRIBLE headaches in the back of my head, as well as my upper neck while lifting. It was so bad today that it was difficult for me to continue my routine. It was specifically bad during squats and incline bench. I just had my blood pressure checked 2 weeks ago, turned out great, so that can't be the problem. what the hell is going on?

                      hey thanks a lot stonecold, that really helps out. I guess I'll try to take a few days off and focus on breathing, then see if the pain persists. thanks again.
