Title/Pink Slip?

anyone know where/how to get a new pink slip if you lost it? Pretty stupid i know, but i paid off my truck, the bank mailed the title to me, and i remember seeing it and thinking "cool i got my slip, i own it now" left it on the kitchen table and havent seeen it since.....do i go through the dmv, or the bank who financed me? Does it cost anything?

As long as everything is clear, I believe you just go to the DMV and pay a fee for a new tittle. That is how things are done in FL, not sure about where you are.

Here in cali that's all you got to do. As long as it's the title you got. Sometimes the loan company sends you the form releasing the title but you have to sign it and send it to dmv. But if they did this for you, and you got the actually title in the mail, then all you have to do is go to dmv and pay the fee cause they have you as the owner in their system.

you can call the dmv and report a lost title and they will send a new one.

In FL you can get the forms to fill out online and just mail it in or take it to the DMV with you for faster service.
