Everyone knows Favre will be done soon, so they have to prepare for there first pick of the draft, there rookie QB.
:hmmm: Maybe I have in the past but not anymore. The Pack is plagued with injuries on the offensive line which doesn't give Favre a lot of protection. He definitely needs to be a fast scrambler right now. If they are recruiting for the next qb then that would make him the odd man wouldn't it?

I understand the team looking toward the future and not building around Favre, ie. getting what he needs for 1-2 seasons. They have to be realistic and look for younger players all around. They have a pretty old team by NFL standards which is why they are so plagued by injuries. But Favre is still great, he just dosn't have the team to work with. If he went somewhere that was looking for a quick great season and had everything but a QB he would shine. Not that the Cowboys have it, but same theroy. They have been using veteran QB's to try and get them a winning season, but the cowboys don't have all the tools. They are trying to bring money into the organazation and increase the reputation again to get those players. Greenbay dosn't have this problem right now, so they need to take advantage of that. This is why I think you are way off on constantly Favre bashing and saying he should retire.

Yes they did. That's who I was talking about when I said they are looking to the future of creating a team for there rookie QB and just doing there best with what they have for right now. I edited that post to make more sense.

Well....I will try to keep the Favre bashing to a minimum, but I must say that even some of the NFL commentators are saying he should retire.
