  • NHL season starts next week

I had completely forgot about NHL. I would like to start watching some games again, but it will be interesting to see how it does this season.

I just can't get behind hockey any longer because of this strike. Of course I root for a team that has no city.

        GO SAN ANTONIO SAINTS!!!!

I am a sports lover, but nothing will get in the way of my football.

Hey why don't we have a football smiley?

I am pumped for this season. The number-one team I support, the Montreal Canadiens, have a speed and skill based roster that should take advantage of the rule changes and obstruction crackdown quite nicely. The other local team I support, the Ottawa Senators, are poised to make a run deep into the playoffs this year. The Calgary Flames look like they will dominate the West. I am PSYCHED.

The nice thing is that most college football games are played on Saturday afternoons (hockey is predominantly at night), and NFL is mostly Sunday afternoons....so I rarely have to chose between hockey and football. I get my fill of both.

How do you like all the changes to the "new" NHL to try and bring more attention?

Despite the all the BS surrounding the NHL strike i'm going to New York Rangers Vs. New Jersey Devils @ MSG- Thursday, Oct 13 7:00 PM. Always good fights on the ice and in the stands.

Even though I don't follow it consistantly, I will always go to a hockey game over anything else.
