Well if you think about it, the reason most people get a handgun is for either if someone is to break into your house, that you'll be able to protect yourself or if you have a carry permit, that's what it's for. So most people want a firearm that is reliable and won't jam on you should the moment arise. Cause a jammed gun in that situation could cost you your life. I see all these handgun manufacturers talking about the reliability of their firearms and how nato supposedly shot 30,000 rounds consecutively without jamming. Just taking all that into consideration. Bet you thought I was a cop huh? LOL.
No, I didn't think you were a cop. I thought there was some cool story behind it.
I think it's a perferance thing. Personally, I like the Sig 226 and the Springfield.
Couple things to remember. Do you want DAO or DA/SA? What round do you want? Are you going to carry? How big are you hands? Left or right handed? Boxers or punk panties?
Springfield Armory 45. Low cost, Low maintenace, indestructable, upgrade friendly, and extremely accurate in the right hands.. If you can't kill it with 8, your just throwin lead with the other 7.
It's not the size of the gun in the fight, but the size of the fight in the gun.
We had a 4th of July party and broke out the super soakers. Kids vs. adults. I filled them up and gave the kids the bigger one. I filled the big one with water from the hot tub but the smaller one (the one the adults had to shoot the kids with) I filled with water from the ice chest. Guess who won? :D

I own three handguns, but my favorite is my Colt Python .357--"Hand Cannon". Although it's a wheel gun with only 6 rounds, it makes a hell of a noise, lol, and is EXTREMELY accurate. However, I carry my Beretta 9 mm, (with an extra clip), in my vehicle. I do have a concealed carry permit and a "jackass rig" to stuff the 9mm in. Fits nice.
For home protection, a hand gun is the last choice, IMHO. If you are disturbed from sleep in the middle of the night, your aiming will probably not be too good. Best choice for home protection---SHOTGUN. You don't have to be "spot-on" when shooting, just point in the general direction of an intruder and chances are you won't miss. I use a Winchester pump loaded with 00 buckshot for crowd control myself, lol. BB
bro you gotta check out the limited edition HKs the tactical is my favorite but cost alot the sub compact 40cal is also very nice. the frames and grips come in olive green or desert sand. if you got the cash get the tactical (.45) the barrel is threaded for a suppreser. bretta also has a new 9mm witch looks nuttin like the 92.
