Yesterday morning our French Mastiff puppy woke up with some flem in her throat. We just thought it was alergies and I let her sleep because she seemed tired. Well 5-6 hours later she was still sleeping. We decided to take her to the emergency vet. He did some X-rays and found some pneumonia in her lungs and a 104.5 temp. The Vet suggested that we take her to a specialists. By this time it was around 2am in the morning and I had to leave a $1500 deposit just for her to stay at this place over night. They put her on some IV's and some antibiotics. We kissed her and left thinking we would be back in a day or 2 to pick her up. Well, they called us around 8:30 this morning and told us her breathing had gotten worse and that her lungs were now very full with pneumonia and she even had some abcesses. Keep in mind that she had gotten her lungs scanned just 7 hours earlier and she only had a mild case. Anyway, they needed to put her on a resperator as she actually stopped breathing for a little bit. Well about 10 minutes after she was put on a respirator she died. She was 10 and a half weeks old.
