I was in my element this sunday just gone, Kerry Kayes (of CNP nutrition) sat next to me to my right ,John Hodgson EFBB Pro in front and Steve Avery Mr Universe sat to my left.
Kerry Kayes and Steve Avery were cracking jokes most of the way through the comp and then Kayes did the presentations at the night show. My mate Darren Snoop took 3rd in the Intermediates over 90kgs, he should have won IMO and definately should have got at least second.
The one thing that let the show down was the the judging, one guy won the juniors looked as if he'd never walked up a flight of stairs never mind performed a squat, legg press. His upper body was well put together with big thickly muscled arms etc but no lower body. I hate decisions like that, other guys in his class had more balanced physiques with good conditioning and they had the beaqting of him IMO.
I wonder what it takes to become a judge atthese shows, does anyone know?
