  • AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH.....what a rush!

Last night was a much needed hockey fix for me.....I was on an emotional high all night. First, the Canadiens beat the Bruins with 11 seconds left in the third period. Then, the Senators scored twice in the final few minutes of the game to force a shootout against the Leafs...which they went on to win. I couldn't have asked for a better start to the NHL season.

So how do you like the new rules to open up the ice and get rid of the ties?

I think all the new rules are gonna be awesome in terms of speeding up the game and I always hated ties, so I love the new rules on that too.

Now seeing the rule changes in action in several games, I can say that they have definately improved the game. Goals are up, icings and offsides are WAAAAAY down, and there is speed through the neutral zone again. There have been some nice breakaways and odd-man rushes resulting from the elimination of the red line too.
