found a mass inside my daughters mouth

we go to a oral surgeon next saturday for a consultation -- they are not sure what it is yet - cancer,cist,infection

being that its so close to the brain they want to handle this with care -- we have her on antibiotics for the abcess that has formed on the outside of her gum -- she feels no pain or discomfort -- my stomach has been in knots since we left the dentist office --

you know whats funny well not funny but telling is when nurse or assistent cant look you in the eyes when they come from looking at the xrays -- thats when you know something is wrong -- i got the same thing when i was not expected to live through the night a couple years ago -- everyone tip toes around you and noone can look you in the face makes you feel really alone

As a healthcare professional, I want to let you know not to be offended when people cannot look at you when there is something wrong like that. It is very difficult to stay professional around patients if you let your emotions get the best of you. There have been a few times when I have had to look away from a patient or family member. I would lose it and I cannot show them that I may let me emotions get in the way of my care.

Just a different perspective brother. We are human and most of us are still compassionate. It's very difficult for us at times too. In fact, my wife had to tell a mother of a 3 month old that her son had testicular cancer. She left the room in a hurry and I ended up finding her in the lounge in crying.
