This is my first week on my new (first) bulking diet, holy shit is that a lot of food. Any tips on minimizing the amount of time I spend preparing food? Like, maybe I cook a whole week's worth of chicken breast and brown rice on Sunday, then just nuke it to warm it up? Other tips? What do you do?

Glowalla's fridge sounds a lot like mine! It helps if you have plenty of variety to minimize the temptation to cheat. I usually just cook a couple pounds of meat at a time so that I can switch it up. I've eaten nothing but chicken for protein for extended periods of time and it gets really tough to gag down another chicken breast.Originally posted by cryptonomiconThis is my first week on my new (first) bulking diet, holy shit is that a lot of food. The instant rice is actually the bad kind I believe. Best way to go is to buy a shit load of long grain brown rice and cook a whole pot, that should last a day or two...It does for me anyway.Originally posted by GearTripperSunday bar-b-q = meat for a week! & don't forget about 10-minute rice bags. :D :bbq:
I buy cook 30lbs of chicken and 10 steaks on Sunday night to last the week. I end up making a pot of rice every day and I go through about 10lbs of veggies. YOu will get used to it.

:agree: Stay away from anything instant. Instant means its already been processed which alters the way your body absorbs it. It also usually strips the food of things that are good for you. Stick with the old-fashioned long cooking brown rice. I bought a rice cooker so I don't have to sit and watch it on the stove and that works really well.Originally posted by wheymanThe instant rice is actually the bad kind I believe.
