too bad Col. doesnt have a goalie...of course i have to stay with my Wings...i mean c'mon, they have undoubtedly the best defense and goaltending in the league.

The Avs don't need a goalie, given that they're gonna score 4 goals or more on most nights...

Not against the Wings they wont!!! granted Col. has an intimdating offense, but i doubt Lidstrom, Hatcher, Schneider, Chelois and Fisher and Hasek are gonna be too intimidated by it.

Chelios is a shadow of his former self, and Matt Schneider is barely competent defensively...offensively, he's great...but he isn't exactly gonna make a forward think twice about going into the corner to battle for the puck. Hatcher....now there's your best defensive defenseman...but he can't be on the ice all the time. Sakic, Forsberg, Hejduk, Tanguay, Kariya, Selanne...there's two sick lines to account for there...not just one like most teams have. Hasek is good, but he's mortal. No way any tender is going to be able to cope with the Avs power play...too much puck movement to get the angles; I haven't seen this much offensive skill on one team since the back-to-back champion Penguins.

Offense wins games....Defense wins championships...you bring up a valid point PuckNutz...DET will be tough.

Remember....Hasek spent the past year playing roller hockey as a forward, and he isn't any younger.

Ahem...let's take a look at some numbers, shall we:

32-25-10 with a 2.19 GAA for Aebischer in his NHL career

More than good enough given the goal support he'll get this year.
