  • Who's watching the Yankee game?

Why did the guy in the crowd just get a bat?

  • #2
Cause A Rod swung and threw his bat into the crowd and it hit that guy or he caught it, so they gave him a souvenir bat so that A Rod could have his bat back.

I dont understand throwing the bat like that-I played ball for about 20 yrs and don't remember ever doing that-maybe its a wooden bat thing?

I hope at least he signed it. I wouldn't care about some damn souvinear bat over one that arod threw into the crowd.

Yeah - I'm sure they have enough bats that they can afford to let the fan that took the undeserved blow keep the actual bat that was thrown.

The guy that got hit by the bat didn't take the hit too hard - at least that group of fans was paying attention. I couldn't imagine if it hit someone upside the head while they were looking away chatting it up with their friends etc.

I watched it today from 8-9pm but when football is on, football is my pick every time.

I am not a Yankees fan, having gone to school in Illinois idolizing Ozzy Smith and the Cards, but I can't but derive some grim satisfaction from these payroll figures:

                            Yankees: $ 208,306,817
                            Angels: $ 97,725,322

                            Red Sox: $ 123,505,125
                            White Sox: $ 75,178,000

Shows that it is not the size of your wallet but the size of your heart that counts.

Does anyone really think that the ratings will drop drasticly since the Yankees and Red Sox arn't in it anymore?
