could you believe that piece of garbage bro? that whole production staff needs to be beat to hell.Originally posted by fog_hat1981I'm not sure as to what to say. I've never watched any of the Mr. O's until tonight and I'm dying to get my fu@#ing money back. That was a disgrace of coverage and I think Lee Priest did a good thing by waving the one fingered salute to showing up...

It seemed like Tripple H was fed up with the whole bit. There was not an ounce of respect for the competitors, the audience or the live viewers at home. I have more to say but I'll say it later - I'm going to get sick and go to sleep dreaming about the damn thing (i.e. I'll be having a fu@#ing nightmare).

nice job with the updates bouncer, i watched it and i have to agree with you guys, they dont know how to run a show. It looks like chaos everywhere, its so disorganized and unprofessional. It makes the sport of bodybuilding look bad to the general public. In conclusion, i felt cutler didnt deserve 2nd (baddell did) and i loved the fact ronnie showed some emotion, not that bullshit from last year where he was acting arrogant and waving his hands in the air.

Thanks for the updates Bouncer, glad i didn't spend the money, went to dinner last night, thank god. looked at some pics from FLEX, Cutler looked smooth to me, big but smooth, his abs were really bad, is it me---or does Cutler look 5 years older than he looked last year? I am not a Coleman fan at all, but he did deserve the Crown... Shame that Shawn Ray, is letting himself go, i think he had the best physique of all time..... Always right on the mark...

Here's my take on the Olympia...
First of all, the announcing sucked. I have been trying to get my wife involved in this type of lifestyle and she isn't really that interested in it. I thought that if I got her to watch the Olympia (the "Best of the Best") last night that she might change her mind. However, she wasn't feeling good and went to bed early. THANK GOD FOR THAT otherwise she would have just laughed her ass off and been pissed at me for making her watch that awfull display of dumbass announcers and production staff.
My first reaction after the whole show was over was that I wanted my money back. However, after sleeping on it I realized that what I really wanted was my TIME back. I could have been watching Florida State get beat by Virginia or maybe even settled for some lame Saturday Night Live. Instead I watched the Olympia and could have shot myself for wasting my precious time that I will NEVER get back.
The announcing - need I say more. The main announcer fucked up the entire show and had some serious errors in his comments (i.e. he said Ronnie was looking to tie Arnold's record etc).
Announcer Shawn Ray looked and acted like a "goober" for a lack of a better word up until his final interview with Jay when he redeemed himself in my eyes.
Gene Rylchek (sp?) got fucked up. When the weight came down on his right chest it looked like it was cutting all the way through his body. It caved in his chest pretty bad and the damn announcer was acting like an ass. Tripple H finally told him that (more or less) he was out of commision so he'd better change the damn subject.
Markus Ruhl -
I'm not sure why he even bothered. His conditioning was terrible and his posing routine was one of the worst.
Chris Cormier -
He looked like he was very soft and holding water in several areas (hamstrings, lower back, glutes) and probably had the second worst posing routine.
#10 Mustaffa Mohammed -
Looked a little "boxy" but had great looking legs in my opinion. His posing routine was excellent and he had a great soundtrack but overall he did not look very symetrical and the judges could tell.
#9 Darrem Charles -
I thought that he had almost perfect symetry but he was obviously scared to show off his back. I never got to see a shot of it as he really didn't even show it off in any of his poses. He had a good posing routine with the exception of not showing his back to the audience/judges.
#8 Branch Warren -
I was shocked that he did not make it into the top 5. He looked fucking awesome. He also should have won the best legs award (I think they gave it to Jay just so he wouldn't go home empty handed :D). Branch also had flawless hamstrings, glutes and lower back and perfect symetry. I'm not sure why the judges left him out to dry?
#7 Melvin Anthony Jr. -
His posing routine was by far the best of the night. He also had great symetry but (pound for pound/inch for inch) he was not nearly as massive of some of the other final contestants.
#6 Dennis James -
His lower back sucked - that's all I can say. I'm not sure why he made it into the top 10 with the exception that Darrem Charles never showed us his back...
The Faceoff -
What a joke. I would have been pissed to have been involved in this debacle. Jay and Ronnie should have snapped that announcer's little neck.
Joe Weider -
I was almost depressed to see him in such bad shape but he's still alive and kickin' so I guess that's all that matters.
On a side note - Dorian Yates still looked like he was in great shape.
The final posedown -
Ronnie looked like he was trying to avoid Jay and Gunter was acting like a schmuck.
#5 Victor Martinez -
I though he had perfect symetry and was very clean but he just couldn't hold a candle to the size of the rest of the guys.
#4 Gunter Schlerkamp -
Somebody get him off the stage. He looked heavy in the back, glutes and hamstrings but I'm not a judge so who knows. I think Chris Dim and Branch Warren would have kicked his ass if I were judging.
#3 Gustavo Babell -
I thought that his massive legs were very impressive but he looked "boxy" and not very symetrical. Jay definetly had him beat in symetry. I also loved his posing routine but the Ronnie imitation was pretty disrespectful in my opinion. If I were Ronnie I would have beat his ass.
#2 Jay Cutler -
He looked incredible and I loved his attitude up until the end of the show. His legs didn't look as good as they have in the past but they were still awesome none the less. He just didn't have near the mass that Ronnie had.
#1 Ronnie Coleman -
Massive... I don't like his "boxy" shape though but he was definetly the biggest thing I have ever seen. Massive, Massive, Massive...
I felt bad for Jay at first but he acted like a baby in his post-interview and he made me want to slap him. Shawn Ray handled the situation like a champ though. It was dis-heartening though to see Jay have to sit in the background all by himself while some punks came up and tried to console him etc.
Ronnie sounded like he has the education of a 2nd grader during his 30 minute speech.
Overall, it was great to get and see the competition live but I would have been happier reading Bouncer's updates this morning. I am very anxious to see what Ronnie can do this next year and would like to see someone give him a run for his money. I think Jay can do it but he's going to have to pack on some size (even though I felt his back had finally caught up).

I disagree on a few points, everything else I think your spot on.
1. Dennis James looked damn good. Biggest I have ever seen him and very hard. He def deserved to be top 10.
2. Coleman was def not avoiding cutler. Cutler didnt match him in anything this year. It was clear as day to me that ronnie destoyed him.
3. Badell is more symetricle the Cutler if you ask me. I believe badell should have placed second and jay 3rd.

I find it quite sad that we all have to age. It is a normal part of the life cycle but I still feel wierd seeing Mr. Weider in that condition...Originally posted by THE BOUNCERI disagree on a few points, everything else I think your spot on.

I won't argue with this as this is the first time I have ever seen him on stage.

I think Ronnie destroyed him for sure. It just seemed to me that he kept getting away from him, that or Jay kept following him around and Ronnie didn't like it... I will say that Jay's back has gotten much better though.
3. Badell is more symetricle the Cutler if you ask me. I believe badell should have placed second and jay 3rd.
That's a very good point. I watched the end again this afternoon and looked at some of your points and I would have to say that this could be agreed upon.

Damn! I just watched this sham of a production and contest and feel like I just wasted whatever it cost for PPV and 3hrs of my life. It's a shame that some of those guys bust their ass in the gym and then it comes down to a popularity contest. OK, it's not quite that bad and I don't need to repeat the screwing that happened but those guys (the competitors and announcers) were just put through hell by the disorganized production and then several didn't get a fair shot by the judges.
Biggest shames--Gunter being top 5, Jay has best wheels?! and should've been third to Badell, Branch Warren got screwed, announcer doesn't know who these guys are and mispronounces or totally screws up their names--forget it, there was too many things to name.
Glad I wasn't able to attend cause I think I would've been really disappointed.
