I agree with the post on having a gun or 2 in the house... No punch- kick or grab is faster than a bullet...... get a alarm system for the house, and have guns in reach. last thing you want is the bedroom door opening and a flash of light in the darkness, you dont hear everything when you are sleeping. I have magnetic detectors under my driveway and around my house, anything over 50lbs. crosses magnet, a buzzer goes off in the house, some might think its over-kill, but i live in the woods and we dont even have a cop in my closest town, so i am the last defense for my family. I have a couple acres, and post that tresspassers will be shot, and then eaten by my bulldog! :nerdnew: Only had one incident---The buzzer went off at 3am. i got the kid and wife and put them in basement--armed... Went to the door, opened it and there sat a drunk that smashed his car down the road, i put the HK, right to his head, brought him inside and calmly told him, that if my window alarm goes off, and his "accomplice" enters they are both done... He told me about the car accident, and started to cry, i felt bad, but hey---family First....

I don't think its phobia but maybe you are developing into that person you really should be moreso now that life has given u a couple bundles of joy... Events like this make us who we are and lead us to the personlity which is most comfyOriginally posted by ShibbyI'm sure it has alot to do with being a new father, but all I worry about is protecting my family and making my son's life as safe as possible. I'm getting involved in the martial arts available in this little town, but it's not my first choice for martial arts. I constantly think about changing my major to something completly different to possibly have a future in the FBI. I'm sure there are others that have been through this. What are your opinions?
