Why do black activists split there points into numbers?

When I see these people from organazations such as The New Black Panther Party and Pro-Black Media, come on different news showst they always talk in numbers. ie. there response always goes in statements led by the phrases first of all, and second or one "theres this" , and two "there's that" etc...

i think they have a short essay they basically memorize or a bullet list because if you ever watch bill o'reilly he will always ask them questions about some of the ridiculous statements and accusations these people make yet they will NEVER answer the questions he throws at them, they'll just elaborate on whatever it is they're talking about as if he didn't ask them a thing
