  • Flying Cash Turns Rush-Hour Drivers Into Criminals

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The green fluttering in Green Bay wasn't falling leaves -- but flying cash.

Rush-hour traffic screeched to a halt on a busy bridge in the Wisconsin city Wednesday morning. Commuters jumped out of their cars and were chasing bills.

A money bag fell out of an armored truck, starting a mad scramble for the dough. One police lieutenant says people were stuffing their pockets full of 20s and speeding off. Police managed to recover $72,000 of the $80,000 in the money bag.

Police Capt. Greg Urban is calling on the people who picked up the money to be "honest and ethical" and give it back. Urban notes taking the flying bills isn't a case of finders-keepers but is technically a crime.

THe bank gave me an extra 1k in cash one day I got home and realized the error and it was just the tellers mistake, I came back later and told the manager he contacted the branch manager and then instructed me to keep it based on my honesty
