i have been kinda down with this thing with my daughter [ will be getting her surgery done at albany medical, great hospital she had her heart operation there]

the one thing that has really brighten my life is the boxer i bought not long ago -- he has brought alot of happiness to my household -

he just makes a shitty day go away when i come home -

-- years ago i had a rottie her name was sabrina -- i was a horrible owner - someone stole her from me probably was best for her sake - i vowed to never get another animal again -- still bothers me to this day on how i treated her -

then some weeks back i was at the butchers picking up some chicken. when we walked in there was a sign on the door boxers forsale -- my wife and kids were with me - they talked me into going to see them -- it happens that i know the person who was selling them -

my wife picked out our boy after he came over to her and laid his head on her --
i was very hesitant at first but the wife and kids really wanted him -- so we brought him home -

my kids named him scar [lion king] i call him junior -- i love him as much as i do my daughters - i still am blown away by this -- i get up and take him out at midnight, he gets up with me when i get ready for work, shit we hate to leave him home by himself - i take him everywhere -- took him for a ride on the harley today

the housebreaking can get drive me nuts sometimes but he has been very good so far -- just a couple accidents in the house [ohh - i just got word from my oldest he had a little problem in the kitchen ]- he is getting better at letting us know when he needs to go -

i am not big on sharing my feelings but i just had to share how i feel about my boy --

    sincerely
    house

It's all part of growing as individuals and as a family. The child will learn many things about caring for another life and you will have a chance to make up for your mistakes.

Dogs are great and we have also been blessed with a very good shepard/lab mix who is the best dog I ever had. She listens better then any person I have ever met too. :D Now we have another puppy and although she is also driving us crazy with the house breaking thing, she is still a pretty good pup. We will be taking her to obediance school eventually and that helps GREATLY.

      Here is a pic.

It's funny how we can get so attached to a pet--I think it's cause they love us unconditionally. It's awesome that you've learned from the past and are enjoying junior so much. I'm sure it's helping in this difficult time with your daughter. Have they identified what the mass is yet?

Hey house, just remember one thing about the potty training. He is a little baby. He will take time to learn.

Remember one more thing, no matter how low in your life you are, no matter who turns there back on you, he will remain. He will be your one true friend that stands there with you threw hell and back. Dont ever forget it bro. He would give his life for you.

              Well said, Bouncer.

When I was a kid, my dogs were really my best friends. They KNEW my mood and instantly acted based upon my mood. If I was happy, they wanted to play, if I was sad, they wanted to be cuddled.

House, I'm so glad you gave yourself another chance with having a dog. :)

:bravonew: So true! Luci, my dwarf JRT, saw me rough-housing with Jed, our mut with pitbull in him, yesterday. She thought he was hurting me so she came running up growling and then launched herself through the air when she got close and hit him in the neck with her body. She proceeded to bite at his legs when he didn't let go of the toy we were playing with. I had to let go and pull her off of him.

yeah, for my sisters and her boyfriends boxer pup, we got those little pee-pee mats. Hes about 3 months now, at times he goes directly to them to do the restroom but also does it around inside the house.

that puppy isnt even mine but i love him alot. He's here all day cause my sisters boyfriend is at work so we take care of him. That little guy brings happiness here at my home. I come from school he greets me, i come home from work he greets me. Like House said, just changed everything here at home for the better.

Something about the pup is awesome. He has a little innocent face, sad looking. We love his personality, hes just a good pup.

                  Hows your pup doing bouncer
