karate tournament, I manage and coach a professional blackbelt team. We compete in the NBL and some NASKA tournaments. The rest of the team members compete in other non-team sponsored tournaments.

Did you go to the Diamond Nationals in Minneapolis in October? That was a NASKA. The Paul Mitchell team did really well.Originally posted by DS-COUSINkarate tournament, I manage and coach a professional blackbelt team. We compete in the NBL and some NASKA tournaments. Actually I heard about that event, but we didn't participate in that. One of our team members did go, Troy Whaley, but I don't know how he did. We usually use NASKA events as warm-ups to NBL events, since we run the WestPac conference.
Paul Mitchell is a good team, but lost Raymond Daniels last year along with a couple others and Raymond is considered one of the best point sparriers in the world.

Raymond was at the tournament giving a seminar on sparring--awesome fighter and a good teacher. I dont remember the name Whaley. Jason Tanson pretty much dominated the point sparring and the Super Fights--he looked really good, just so fast! Last years champ, Trevor Lane got owned. Pretty good tournament overall. I guess we do mostly NASKA tournaments, never been to a NBL tournament.Originally posted by DS-COUSINPaul Mitchell is a good team, but lost Raymond Daniels last year along with a couple others and Raymond is considered one of the best point sparriers in the world.

Jason is fast and he can sing, I saw him at Barb's tournament Las Vegas Legacy a few months ago. As I was leaving, he was singing karoake, I said damn, he can really sing, then said, fuck this, I am going to Opium.
Trevor is good.
Troy Whaley has been around for years and is like 38yrs old. He probably didn't get to far with how NASKA rules work.
Anyway, gotta bounce...late
