  • Bad news from the doc

Had a colonoscopy done yesterday and the doc found a small polyp. The thing is that he didn't say much, he made it sound like nothing. I told a few friends and they said that I shouldn't already have polyps at my age (26). I also read that polyps are beginning signs of colon cancer. Now I'm worried as hell b/c my uncle had colon cancer removed and my mom died of lung cancer. What a mind job!!!

Sorry to hear that bro. Keep us updated with anything else that comes from it.

I'm not in a place to give advice on this but a second doctor's opinion is always a good thing...

it could be nothing--as far as I know they can be benign or malignant. When are they gonna remove it or do a biopsy? I know it's easy to say, but worrying isn't gonna help anything. Good luck, man! At least you found it, most guys your age wouldn't even have it checked.

The already removed it. They said that they would call me with the results.

I've been through the same thing. You're in early enough that even if it is cancer, surgery or other measures will most likely cure you. Take this as a warning sign though, get examihed every year or more often if the dr. suggests it.

            XOXOXO Best wishes!
