  • Saw? (movie review)

What did you think of this movie. The previews for the sequal look good. I usually don't like scary type movie's because I think how fictional it is all the time. But this game playing physco seems like something I can get into.

i thought part 1's storyline was better than the 2nd one's. although part 2 is more fucked up than the first. they're both equally entertaining although the 2nd one sort of disappointed me at the end. but neither come close to being as good as seven or 8mm.
and actually to go on a rant, there was a preview for a quentin tarantino "presents" movie that looked pretty badass.

I enjoyed both of them. The first had a better plot, but worse acting. The second one made me cringe more though.

psyko....that preview for tarantino's new flic did look pretty killer

agree.. they we're both kick ass... it's more of a psychological thriller than a scary movie... the endings are badass, but the first one is better than the second

I liked the second one as well. Like psyko said it made you cringe more. Like the needle scene ewwwww. That tarantino movie looks like it's gonna be really good. I'm gonna see that one too.

I thought it was good. And like timma said, I thought the traps he set were more cringing as well. I didn't quite get the ending very well so i'll have to see that again to understand it fully. Definately didn't see that coming.

I haven't seen the previews for that yet. But they already did the garden shears to the toes on prison break.

I think the second was way better than the first. I practically fell asleep in the first, but the second was awsome. Tons or psycho shit going on.

I liked the devils rejects better then saw...I haven't seen saw II but if you want a realistic horror film check the rejects

Rob zombie did an amazing job, the way the film was shot you often feel like your there....majority of the movie was shot with a hand held camera so it creates that hectik mood throughout the film...like when victims are running with the hand held camera on them the frame is shaking much like you'd be running along with them

the movie is basically "the family" vs "the sheriff" and the way the story develops the audience feels sympathy for both by the end of the movie....both play roles of the "bad guy" which coincidentally makes the other the lesser bad guy, almost a good guy (although a killer can't truly be a GOOD guy)

in my opinion there hasn't been a better horror movie made since the 70's and this may actually be my favorite horror flick period, its just that good and rob zombie did such a great job

the music is mostly 70's rock music and it fits the vibe of the movie so perfect....the ending sequence is played out over FREE BIRD!! the duration of the song, i won't give away the ending obviously but its classic, its memorable....its not that same everyday twist ending that we've had over the past couple of years in these teen slasher movies since scream came out....the grudge, the ring, all that is the same more or less to me and this movie completely blows those out of the water in my opinion....

a good amount of gore in this movie, and one scene even for the biggest horror freak fans out there should make you turn your head a little bit in disgust, not so much the gore but just the reality and sickness of it (motel scene)...well, gore too

ton of nudity as well, so its not for the kiddies
