Hangin with the wifes family tomorrow.. Went and saw mine today... I am sure I will have to drop in on mine again this weekend for them to feel good... sometimes I hate the holidays... It tends to get out of hand with my familys on who is going where, how long are you staying with this side of the fam, we want to eat at the same time they are etc.... Happy ThanksGiving

Going to my parents (15miles away) for thanksgiving then I've got a long weekend to myself with no plans but lifting and eating--the norm I guess. My bros are coming into town so I'll spend some time hanging and playing xbox or something. Just a long, relaxing weekend for the most part.

I went to Maine to spend it with family. If I EVER attempt another 21 hour road trip with a 7 week old baby, just shoot me in my sleep.
We just got back yesterday around 7 am. Still have to unpack and I have been dragging ass all day.
Did a little hunting while I was up there. Had a nice shot at a buck on Friday. He just trotted out into a field and stopped broadside 50 yards away. I am convinced he must have been suicidal, LOL.
Unfortunately, my scope was WAYYY off. I accidently knocked the scope after I had shot it in a few weeks ago and was out of ammo at the time to see if the scope had been knocked out of whack. Apparently, it was because it was shooting 16 inches high and 4 inches to the left at 50 yards.
I put the crosshairs on his front shoulder and squeezed off. I barely nicked him on top of the back over his butt. It was enough to knock him down and temporarily paralyze his hind legs. He finally made it back on his feet and headed for the treeline. I shot twice more before he made it to the trees and never touched him. I tracked him about a half mile before losing the trail among many others. He didn't bleed much and I am sure he survived and is better educated for next year.
