Anyone using XM radio yet? I ordered the Delphi MyFi Portable XM Satellite Radio. It comes with everything for the home and car. Records up to 5 hours. $129 minus $50 mail for a mail in rebate $79 from Comp-U-Plus Last year this thing cost $325.

I need it. I'm on the road at least 4-5 hrs everyday and I am absolutely tired of makingmy own cd's and reg radio.

I hear ya. I'm going to have Circuit City install it for $65 or for a little more $80 hardwired no cables visible.

They have some models for Sirius which doubles as an mp3 player but they are a bit pricey.

I have sirius and I love it. So much better than regular radio and you will hear a ton more new artists on it.

Pro's are definatly the extra music. The cons is you don't get to hear about concerts, events, etc. in your area.

I use www.pollstar.com for that or just check the radio websites.

So I got the unit today $119 and signed up for the 1 year XM radio subscription $143 + a $10 activation fee (what a joke). $12 a month.

                Total so far = 119 + 153 - 50 (rebate) = $222
I dont know if its worth it.

Here are the channels the offer. Not excatly impressive.

The Delphi is cool...easy to use. A little bulky for being portable. XM is ok so far has no or very little commericials...lots of artists.

Now i going to have it installed in my car another $80 unless i do it myself.

I have 3 XM's and love them. I don't listen to local stuff anyway. If you are into Major League Baseball or ACC football it is even better. No commercials, great talk shows and better music, you can't go wrong.

                    Why just ACC football?

i had xm and didnt like it! cds and mp3s sound way better and i also hated the way they would play 1 good song then 5 shitty ones. you know how the radio station plays a certain rotation XM does the same but just longer so if you stay on the same channel youll get replay all the time. id also pat the extra and get the wires hidden for the install.

My only experience with XM is at the gym I go to. I enjoy the metal station, but they rarely put that on. The stuff they usually play bothers me, and the same songs are played every hour. But since I'm not in control I guess my opinion isn't too accurate.
