  • Guess the company from the statistics given!!!!

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

It Must Be The NBA. (Maybe not).

36 have been accused of spousal abuse

7 have been arrested for fraud

19 have been accused of writing bad checks

117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

3 have done time for assault

71, r epeat 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

    21
currently are defendants in lawsuits. And

84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet? . . Scroll down, citizen!

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress.

The same group of Idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

You gotta pass this one on

if you actually read all the statistics and understand them you would realize what they mean...

"accused" can definately not be considered...

also i am sure everyone has done something wrong either in their youth and younger years...

i would bet my lifting boots if you randomly sampled 535 americans the statistics would be much worse...

agree with daf2...the stats give no indication as to when in their lives these crimes may have been committed...and most of the comments are pretty vague anyway...

A bit extreme, but agreed. In many states (or all, not quite sure) you cannot become a police officer if you have anything negative on your record. I would think that the same would go for politicians.

Let me target the stats that really mean something to me in this post:

84 drunk driving in the last year.

Are you fucking kidding me. That's almost 1 out of 5 arrested for DUI? That's an insane stat, I cannot imagine another company that would be that high. And then you add the fact they are politicians, how many were driving drunk and didn't get a ticket, just got a ride home? Do these people do anything but drink??

                71 with bad credit?

This is another mind boggler. I know that to get to these levels you have to have some serious money. This is just totally irresponsible, or they are just the worst money managers on earth. I find this stat intresting because they would not be able to get a job anywhere in FL's govt system; because your credit record is open for examination during employment (which is bull shit, but don't get me started). Most high level jobs are going to take a look at your credit; it would be hard to get another good job with terriable credit (especially at the age of most of those folks; it just shows a total disrespect for the system).

I am sure the reason the stats are "arrested" or "charged" is because they get off of most of these charges because of their positions. We all know they are doing it, but what judge is going to push this to the wall in Washington? Your just asking to end your career.

It is sad though, that I will give you.

                Puma

So, people who make mistakes in their youth should pay for it for the rest of their lives? You can dig up stuff from just about anybody's past. It doesn't mean anything. If they aren't currently doing those things than there isn't a problem. I agree with daf2. I think it's just another smear campaign against a Republican congress. This kind of stuff got old 3 years ago.
