i'm gonna have to agree with sloppy jo to an extent, neither fighter was in the right, and both displayed a lack of self-control. kissing someone who is staring you down is stupid, but it's awesome how one punch (and he didn't even wind up much) knocked his ass to the ground.

The hardest, most effective punches have no windup. A wind up just robs energy from the punch.

that's some bullshit right there. herring leaned in to put his head against nakao in a lame attempt at intimidation. nakao was reacting first. the kiss was a smart ass response to herring's bullshit. the dq of herring was a good call - a proffesional fighter controls his temper and fights for sport. if you ask me, herring asked for the kiss, not nakao asking for the right hook before the bell rang.

I agree, plus it was a mma match, if he would have waited the 5 seconds, he would have gotten payed for kicking his ass instead he got a loss and no money.
