But... Do not ever wear a brown belt with black shoes or clothing and the same goes for a black belt with brown shoes or clothing. I had a freind that always did this...well he only had 1 belt that was brown and 1 pair of boots that were black and everytime we went out the girls would tear him up about it.

I'm gonna make 2 suggestions...1-when you wear that shirt, don't wear an undershirt that shows, if you need something for warmth put a wife beater on instead, and 2-the shirt seems a little big for you, try going down one size.

BTW, my husband wears the same kind of shirt almost daily, really easy to take care of and they come in a lot of colors and patterns. Good choice!

Yeah, I know the shirt is a little big :(. I'm tall and skinny so things that are long enough are almost always too spacious. I'm hoping it will shrink a bit when I wash it. That or I guess its more motivation to gain weight!

Haha...thanks everyone...I went out and got a pair of pants and a shirt, that I like. Pic attached (man, I have some major red eye ;) )

Anyway, this is like navigating a new planet. Like I landed on earth from an alien ship and am trying to navigate my way around its culture. But I think I am getting it.

The cargo pants are ok, for just going out and about during the day. But I wouldn't wear them at night if you are going to dinner or some type of public gathering.

They were cool in 1998. Actually I still like canvas shorts with cargo pockets, but I don't think they're cool, I just wear them in the summer with hawaiin shirts and wife beaters when I'm on vacation and too wasted to care.

I have the opposite problem, I'm short and wide. When someone's not in the "normal" size range, options are limited. Grrrrrrr!

There are some specialty shops that make clothes for taller guys without adding in the extra material that makes them wider. Some department stores like JC Penny's or Macy's should also have shirts made like this.

As for the t-shirt underneath...I'm just not a fan of a white undershirt showing at the collar line. IMO it's like looking at someone's underware poking out through their clothes. If it's a colored t-shirt that is color co-ordinating with the pants or shirt that looks better than a white one. Kinda like when girls wear a tank-top and their bra strap shows...if it's gonna show it should at least match the rest of your clothes.
