  • Sevendust Concert....Lastnight.

Well...many of you may or may not remember that for my birthday I was given tickets to see Sevendust. Well...let me tell you...you think with even working out that I wouldn't be AS sore today, BUT I am hurting today. The mosh pit started with Nonpoint, one of the opening bands. They came on and played for an hour and Sevendust played for 2 hours. Three hours of being pushed and pushing others, crowd surfing and just going balls out crazy! I guess at 37 some may think I am too old for this, but I felt like a fuckin' teenager lastnight! By far one of the best shows I have been to in awhile. I have a knot on my forehead from one of the girls that was crowd surfing. I guess they forgot to tell her not to kick when you are up there, cause she booted me right over my right eye. I saw stars for a minute or 2, but I wasn't gonna let that stop me.

One thing I saw last night that really...and I mean really pissed me off was this guy in front of me, holding his girl, and fondling this drunk under-age girl right beside him. The drunk girls bf was to the other side of her and didn't see what was going on. In between songs I had a chat with the bf and made him aware of what was taking place. I told him that when he sees the guy do it, not to start a fight, but grab the guys arm and remove it. Which he did the next time it happened. The fondler, taller than both of us but no muscular build at all, snatched his arm away and started reaching for the bf. I quickly grabbed his arm and told him to chill and said "you know what you are doing is wrong" and if he started shit with this girls bf he was gonna have me to deal with first. He was like "yeah, whatever" , but he did stop. The next time the mosh pit started again, me and bf seperated the fondler from his gf and pushed his ass out in it. Fuckin' hilarious. He got slammed a few times and then slipped on the wet floor and fell. Fell on a floor drinched with whatever and cigarette butts and trash. We just laughed about it. The bf bought me a water later and said "karma's a bitch isn't it" and laughed. I said "yep". He said thanks bro what's your name....I said..."you can call me Karma!" lol

There's always a couple assholes at concerts. If that would have been my girl I would have broke his f'n nose. I think the bf was being too nice. That guy deserved to get his ass beat.

I know, but if you had seen the guy you probably would have said that he wasn't worth going to jail over too.

Nope, I would have gone to jail. Anyone that would touch my gf/wife in a sexual way would definitely pay the price.

:bravonew: Let's hear it for righteousness! Very commendable, dude. I don't know too many people who would have done anything, but I would have done just what you did.

Oh, and awesome taste in music. I remember you saying something about meeting James LaBrie as well. Keep the metal alive!

That's pretty stand up and rare. Most dudes would've joined in on the action instead. Sevendust concert must be the shit.

Way to go Bad14u!I still would've beaten him up. lol

I saw Sevendust before they became really big with a couple of other bands that came down here. They really rock.

Thanks everyone for the props...it just seemed like the right thing to do, so I did it. As for keeping metal alive....that is something I pride myself in. I try to introduce new people to metal music and hope they like it, and when they do...it is an awesome feeling. As for seeing Sevendust...that was my 4th time, and yes...they just keep getting better and the crowds keep getting bigger. I remember seeing Lajon and the guys in the crowds at shows up in ATL, and now they are rockin' the world. So awesome!

Yeah...I had the honor of meeting James, John and Jordan in Orlando when they were touring with Satriani and King's X...one of the best shows I have ever been to.
