  • NFL Playoffs: Steelers @ Broncos & Panthers @ Seahawks

Im keeping it as simple as possible
I dont care about historical trends here, Im betting the game

    Denver -3
    - Line insinuates that these teams are even on a neutral field
    - Denver has the better run game, run defense and offensive weapons
    - Plummer has been more trustworthy with the ball than Big Ben this year
    - Plummer will be able to roll away from the blitz more often than not
    - This will be Pitts 6th of 7 road game

    Seattle -3.5
    - Healthy as opposed to a limping Carolina, Chicago bruised them up pretty bad
    - Seattle has the better run game, pass game, pass rush (based on sacks), offensive line and also has a comparable run defense
    - Hasselbeck was the highest rated passer in the NFC without his best wideouts for most of the year, that means he puts the ball where only his receivers could catch them
    - Carolina also on their 6th of 7 road game

Theres no sense in taking Carolina +4 or Pitt +3, take em straight up if you want them. These teams wont win and not cover or vice versa. Ill go with the undefeated home teams and bite my tongue as i have been doing the last two weeks as history keeps wanting to write itself in 2006.

My only worry about my picks is in the playoffs, "when you beat the best, you are the best" I just remember when it was supposed to be Oakland vs. Philly that year and Tampa beat Philly and then Oakland... and the Carolina who beat St.Louis and then had no problem beating Philly

I like both games under as well right now...but im deliberating on the Seattle one over...
Working...
