Who has High Definition and what is your favorite things to watch?

For me Football in HD is heaven. Also like, most of the stuff on Discovery HD. HDNET Movies plays some good stuff. And something new that I have started watching is CSI Miami. The colors and camera views are crazy in HD.

We don't have it yet but Stromba's been looking into getting a home theater system put together here. We had one wall that had double doors on it closed in and made a solid wall for where we want the TV to go...picking out all the mechanical stuff and furniture is next on the list. Thanks for putting up this forum!

I have the 50 inch Samsung DLP and man I love watching football, I think the best channel for some reason is ESPNHD, I can see every blade of grass on the field and blemishes on peoples faces (not really a good thing) but still kind of amazing to me. I also like to watch Law and Order and the DiscoveryHD channel in HD. I'm really happy I bought that TV.

little tip for ya bro. I have the 61' DLP 1080P model so this is how I know this. When you buy a TV it comes factory set to be very bright to sell in stores and such. this is not the best setting for perfect viewing though. you need to change the Gamma setting, this can only be done by the service menu.

turn off your TV. on the remote control press [mute] 1 8 2 [power] all within 1 second of each other. this will load the service menu. Change the gamma setting from (video2gamma) to (Film0gamma)

this setting gives lets your TV display everything that the light engine can produce. you will now see things that you have never seen before. this is the setting that the professional calibrate your set to.

Give your eyes a few days to adjust and then try setting it back to the video2 setting, you will see how much better film gamma mode is.

phatchopper, did you try it yet? it may seem dark at first but give your eyes a few days to adjust and i promise you will love it. after the few days, set it back to the video2 gamma setting and you will see how blurry that setting makes your picture.

also, make sure you have your picture settings to the following:

              Contrast: 80
              Brightness: 50
              Sharpness: 50
              Color: 50
              Tint: 50

Color mode should be set to normal. NOT warm1. this setting makes whites red and distorts the picture.

Hey Bouncer the code worked but it gave me a menu with about 7 different options on it none of which I could find the film0gamma or the video2gamma. Do you know which option to choose once this menu comes up?

It should be the first option. click that and that will open up a new box. about 7 or 8 settings down you should see it. if not, let me know. you may have to type out all the settings that are there so i can tell you witch one.
