  • Sick as shit..

Woke up about 4am this morning and couldnt get warm. I put on my fleece, sweat pants, sox and slippers, skully cap and gloves and got under the covers and didnt warm up for like 10 minutes. I had the heat on like 85 and it felt like 40. As all that is going on I feel like shit is going to come pouring out of one end and puke the other. I had one of those hot medicine drinks that you drink like tea and a few advil and after awhile started feeling better. I have still been hot all day though, (fever). Sana got me some ginger ale and made us tomato soup and I was able to get it down. Felt a little better after. Now im just feeling really achy and stiff, weak (if you gave me a 1lb Dumbell it would hurt to lift it. lol) and just feverish.

Just thought I would post this since I have nothing else to do. Maybe someone has a good tip for me? Puddles, your usuaully pretty good at motherly advice. i called my mom but she is a little wacky these days. :)

to add to all this, i trained legs on thursday and arms on friday. both bodyparts were sore as hell before this sickness came on, now it makes it hard to standup. this sucks.

Get some gatorade also, keep popping the advil to reduce the fever. That's about it. I was feeling a light flu that came and gone a couple times the last two weeks. Got a cold for part of it also. I feel you. I just worked out for the first time today in two weeks. But my lungs didn't like it. Felt like when you run out in the cold.

If you have some antibiotics on hand you can through some of those in there in case it is a bacterial infection. Stop it quick. If it's viral then no harm done.

That sucks bro, I felt the same exact way for a few days last summer. Couldn't get warm no matter what and then I'd get really hot, took a few alieve and went and laid back down. It went away after a few days of resting.

It's probably the same antibiotics a human would take, just a lower dose. What kind is it?

Not sure but we have to keep them for the puppy. She got fixed about a week ago and may need them in the stitches get red or puffy or anything.

sounds exactly what I had over christmas break....I personally like Theraflu to feel better....though the only reason I don't like it is that the active pain ingredient is Tylenol....It took me a week to get over mine though. I pounded green tea as well.

My mother's a nurse and she said that Vitamin-C is preventive maintenance for your body and does nothing for you until your sickness has run its course.

About feeling better, when I feel like dogshit- I microwave canned chicken broth and sip on it. A couple wheat toast with a little margarine as I sip the chicken broth works for me. (I go through about 2 or 3 cans per day- ALSO, they are 98% FAT FREE :D) I do throw in a banana to slow the flow if my stomach is thrashed.

                            Good luck big fella...

i always get sick during this days. Since my room is not properly insulated, it gets cold as hell in the nights. Even with the heater on, i still wake up cold. I take hot baths and still feel cold. I just got over a bad cold I had last week.
