  • HHHEEEELLLLLOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Hello all of the guys and gals at SM!!!

After my what seemed like an eternity hiatus, I AM BACK!!!

We FINALLY moved into our houe At the beginning of January....and of course everything wasn't 100% completed when we moved in, but we finally got internet access back up last night!! I feel so connected to the world finally! My place of work took all net access away from the employees, so it was tough. Needless to say, I missed you all and can't wait to get back in the swing..

One major thing, however- I am freaking pregnant!! Due August 6th. here, we were having so much difficulty and decided to stop trying until we got settled in the new house. Well, all I have to say is : WOOPS. I am about 3.5 months right now and feel like an elephant!!!

Anyway, good to be back! :bravonew:

Congratulations on both things Red. I know how bad you have been wanting to get pregnant. I'm so happy for you getting your chance to be a mother. I don't know Sonis's espierence with kids, but from a new fathers perspective, it's hard to get into the excitement at first. All the little things didn't have a real impact until I felt my son kick for the first time. Until your baby kicks and he can feel it for the first time, it will just be more of a thought than an expierence.

It is so true. Right now I just feel like an blimp. True, we've heard and seen the heartbeat, but until I really feel it, it doesn't seem real.

We did have a little complication this week....found out I had a blood clot next to the placenta. No big deal the Dr. said. She thought the baby would sort of push it out of the way...Well, the baby apparently wanted it out NOW and decided to send me to the ER Wed. around 1am. I "passed" the clot, so to speak, and for the next two days I felt like I had given birth! But, baby is fine thankfully, but that was a scary experience.

And this is the first child for both of us...in fact it's the first grandchild. needless to say, we'll be lucky if we see it! LOL!

I'm sure that you don't know me but I have read a ton of your posts. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I know that you have been trying for quite some time.

Also, to add to Shibby's comment - it took me until my son was almost 1 for it to REALLY kick in. Don't think badly of me for that. It just worked out that way for me (there were a ton of unspeakable reasons) but everyone is different.

OMG, Red...I am sitting here with the messiest face full of tears of joy for you!!! I think it was just yesterday when I read an old thread of yours about your difficulties and then I was thinking how you should be back here soon.

I am so completely thrilled for you words can't begine to describe! I know how much you struggled with this and how much you wanted to make this happen. You are in for the absolute best ride of your life right now.

My daughter turned 14 today and this morning I was thinking of my day that I went into labor. I was induced a day earlier...darn kid didn't wanna come out....so many wonderful memories and I'm just so thrilled that this has worked out for you and you're going to have a lifetime of wonderment ahead of you.

Thank you for finally getting back online and with us too. I've missed you big time!

Hugggggggggggggs and Kisssssssssesssssssss and HUGGGGGE CONGRADULATIONSSSSSSSS!!!

              I'm so excited for you!

In the next few weeks you're gonna start to feel your little one moving inside you. It'll be a couple of months after that before your husband can feel it but you will know it's your little one doing flip-flops and hiccoughs and it's gonna totally melt you!

Much love to you and the baby. XOXOXO

I hope you and the baby are healthy and happy...

Tell your hubby, GOOD LUCK, b/c he will be running to the store for all kinds of things when the urges kick in (if they haven't already).

Oh yea, he/she will be spoiled. My son is the first grandson of my generation and the first great grandson of one more generation up. Hell the car we got for our wedding present, my parents say they actually bought for thier grandson(5 months old). The cab of the truck was to small for him and his stuff, so my son needed something bigger :) Not too much longer until you can find out what it is. Do you want to know or are you going to let it be a suprise?
