  • NCAAB - Who SHOULD win player of the year?

I think Gay Gay Reddick will win it but I think Adam Morrison deserves it.

It's such a hard call. But Reddick has kept Duke to only 1 loss and Gonzaga has 3. Morrison is probably a more complete player. I picked Reddick since he's a senoir. Morrison will probably enter the draft early, but also Reddick has been at the top of his game for 4 years straight.

Reddick also has a better team to play with... Reddick can have a shitty game and Duke can win, if Morrison has a shitty game, Gonzaga will lose... That's why I picked Morrison, he carries his team.

I just think it's kinda interesting that two white guys, NEITHER of whom looks like a real athlete if you saw 'em on a bus, are up for player of the year...

as my co-worker said, Adam Morrison looks "deceivingly good"

The PPG averarage will probably make the biggest impact on the decision.

oh I'm not saying race is an issue, it's just an observation. I think they're both flat-out dominant players. Unfortunately, race became an issue with the Steve Nash-MVP discussion, but I tuned out there

Yesterday before Morrison played (granted Morrison was one game behind) it was Morrison 28.6 and Reddick 28.7. It's going to be a crazy race.

Well Reddick broke the 3-point record tonight and he will break the ACC all time scoring record with in the next few games. I think that will have a huge impact.

Reddick... he plays in a real conference and doesnt get to play Portland and St. Mary's twice a year.... Morrison would be mediocre in the ACC or Big East.

Points per game don't necessarily mean anything especially if you're jacking up 50 shots/game like Allen I used to do.

I'm a UNC fan through and through, but I have to give it to Gay Gay...he is a great player. Dooks problem will be that when he has a bad game Duke will go down. The guard from Memphis shut him down and that is the way other teams should play him if possible. I know I know...easier said than done.

Also, Coach Kafaesdfasfewski should sacrifice a game or two instead of running JJ and Shewill in the ground. A lot of people are going to be dissapointed in late March when they don't have their legs.

How about Hansbrough dropping 40 on Georgia Tech the other night? Kid is a damn stud.

Reddick is now Duke's all time leading scorer with 2,557 points. This record was held by his assistant head coach Johnny Dawkins for 20 years. Reddick now needs 31 more points to break the ACC all time record.
