The Hunter Cheney shot had a heart attack!

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (CNN) -- The fellow hunter who was shot and wounded by Vice President Dick Cheney has suffered a "minor heart attack" after a piece of birdshot migrated to his heart, a hospital spokesman said Tuesday.

Yeah but it was a new rule that a lot of hunters were not informed of (the stamp).

There is plenty of blame to go around in this accident. The lawyer who was shot stepped out of line to pick up a downed bird without letting anyone know. Other hunters who were concentrating on detecting movement and being ready to wheel and fire, well, wheeled and fired. The guy is lucky he wasn't killed and it was partly his fault.

On the other hand, it is hunter rule number one that you NEVER fire at something you don't clearly see. Obviously, Cheney disregarded that rule. It is ultimately the hunter's responsibility to make sure he doesn't shoot an unintended target.

I would say this was 80% Cheney's fault and 20% lawyer's fault (for stepping unannounced into the shooting range).
