Damn you flopped a full house and ended up getting beat on the river. That probably made your stomach sink a bit.

You win some, you lose some. Bad beat--anybody that's played poker long enough has plenty of those stories to tell from both sides.

same thing happened to my friend...

        flop was - K, 10, 10
        turn - 7
        river - 9

        he had - K, 10
        other guy had - K, K

Yeah that is a bad beat.

here is my assessment of it

first of all you got pocket 10's always a dangerous pocket pair to have. good enough to get your adrenaline going, but bad enough to get beat by a bunch of hands.

flop comes out with 7 heart, 10 heart and 7 diamond. hey trip 10's. and a full house. awesome. but wait. what would you have done if you were first to bet? would you have dropped all in? or slow played it a little?

I would instantly be worried about pocket hearts or pocket 7's.

playing online is so convienent but difficult at times because you have no clue about your competition. if you were playing against buddies, you know exactly their financial situation and their reactions to things. online you have no clue. maybe this guy is worth 200 million and is just learning to play and the 8 bucks (or $80 or $800) means nothing to him and is blindly calling or raising. who knows.

anyway, back to our hand. big blind checks. costs him nothing. 2nd spot (nugget) goes all in. 85x the big blind amount. that is a substantial bet. I dont know if i would make him for having 4 7's at this point. if you had quad 7's wouldnt you slow play it a bit and get more people in the pot?

ok. so not quad 7's. i would then think he has pocket hearts. but an all in on a flop heart draw? i guess if he was at my table for a while and i had a little read on him i guess i could see it but myself would play it a little slower. that would be pretty agressive on his part. (or stupid)

so now its been 15 seconds and you have to call his all in with your 10's and 7 full house or bail. you cant bail on a 10-7 boat can you? i mean there are only a handfull of hands that can beat it.

5-4-3-2-1 "Red Devil - Please Make Your Play" comes over the computer speakers

"Damn it. I got Trip fuckin 10's. I got a full boat 10's and 7's. I will call this lil KGB fucker" -- says Red Devil

So then instantly, Nugget has to be thinking, shit. "Does RedDevil had quad 7's or even trip 10's? Or maybe even hearts. All i have is kings."

He for sure was worried. Because he knew that he made a stupid move and assumed that you had something good.

Turn is a 6 of hearts. He now for sure feels like he has lost. Others on the table that folded with a pocket heart are now kicking themselves. A flush wins this thing? He is thinking if he should revisit the cashier for more cash or just log on to bangbus.com and rub one out and go to bed.

Ah then the fuckin river card. His ass was saved by the river. Every bad beat story ends this way. Fuckin king on the river.

I think you played it right. So hard to read people online. I have lost with a QJ full house.

You are right, bad beat, but you played it exactly the way the pros would have.
