A serious question. Do short haired dogs like yours generally affect allergies? My fiance said she might want a small dog someday, but I'm allergic to cats and shit, which sucks cause I love cats, but I wasn't sure about smaller, shorthaired dogs.

they will still cause allergies if you have really bad ones, but generally the short haired dogs are far better for a person with allergies.

well, I've heard that it's dander from cats that most people are allergic to. But since dander is dried saliva that flakes off their fur I suppose the same thing could happen with a dog that has oily hair?
