For what its worth to ease your mind. Adenoidectomy is a pretty simple operation. He should be able to come home the same day as the operation.

He will be fine bro, best wishes.

I agree with Bouncer. It happened to me when I was 4 years old when my mother noticed that I had diffuclt time swallowing and took me to the doctor. It turned out that I had enlarged andnoids so I had that operation to remove them. I got antibotics after the operation and a few days later I got better and back to normal. I am sure your son will be all right and he should be back to normal and be happy in a few days. Have a good weekend!! :usausausa

Although I don't pray, I do wish you and your son all the best.

Thanks to all. Everything went great. And he has been acting like nothing even happened. The doc said he would be cranky and have a loss of appetite for a few days....didn't happen. Within an hour of getting back home he was hungry and ready to play. Thanks again!

Bouncer, yes it is a common procedure, but when it is my son being put under...nothing is common about about that. Thanks for the kind words and good thoughts.

Shibby, you may not pray now, and I hope and pray that nothing ever happens to your son that you will need to pray, but when the time is right...you just might.
