So i got the ok from my landlord lady today to remodel my liveing room/kitchen. Ive got alot of what i want to do worked out, but im havein problems with the TV. I like havein it in the liveing room, but i dont want my whole room to be centered around it in fact im geting my cable turned off within the month so it will be almost purely used for movies. So i was thinking about geting a wall mount for it to clear up some floor space. My question is have any of you ever used and/or put one up? I dont know anyone that has one, and i have no idea how well they work.

I just put one in my bedroom, its one of the ones that comes off the wall, they also have them from the ceiling. It seems sturdy enough but I was a little worried at first. make sure its rated for your tv size and weight. I like it because the gf and I would rather watch a movie in bed than out on the couch and this way its high enough to see comfortably. Also, we can swivel it to the side so that it face the treadmill.Last edited by ROCKILLER; 03-14-06, 11:39 AM.

I have a wall mount that swivels on the patio by the hot tub. We had to use special screws since it went into cement block. The wall mount in the office was simple since it went into a stud. Pay attention to the size the mount says it will hold and you'll be fine.

Well then, there are choices you can make. Will this be just for a tv? If so...make sure you get one with a base big enough for you tv. Make sure and attach to the wall where the stud is and prefferably near a power outlet.Originally posted by Gainwarddef not a flat screen lol. im planin on hangin my good ole tube tv from the wall
