  • My Springbreak in Germany *56k Warning*

I figured I would post my pics of what I did in the past week. I will link my webshots albums and you guys can go through it if you want. My lacrosse photos are also in there.

You can notice in the germany shots how swollen my neck is, its really starting to piss me off. I have to wait until May 5 till its taken care of and the swelling goes down.

Anyway, probably one of the best Spring Break trips anyone can take.

i've always thought that people willing to play goalie in lacrosse are psycho, i had a friend who needed surgery when a ball hit his throat and his voice has never been the same since. :)

Damn, that would be like getting hitting w/a miniature bowling bowl at 100mph. Fuck that!

Lol, yeah my highschool football coach told me I was insane to let people shoot that fast at me. But it got me a scholarship and what not in college, so I feel it was well worth it.

Had to drop the sports though because well going after a Pharmacology degree takes up pretty much all the time I had left open for sports. Kinda sucks, so I picked up paintball again, so I am hoping to find a tourney team in my area.

yeah speaking of that, there was a college guy last year that died when he was struck in the chest. Hit inbetween heart beats and killed him instantly. Its unfortunate that it happend, but my mom freaked out when the shot was only clocked at like 70mph. I took my bruises but thankfully never broke any bones. I think like 75% of goalies break a thumb at least once because of a shot. I def lucked out.

yeah, there've been shots clocked at over 200 mph in lacrosse... my friend stumbled off the field, and the coach was even pissed at him for not defending the attacker, but he looks like he's had a tracheotomy now, and speaks like janis joplin.

i often teach cpr classes, and one of the reasons i emphasize accurately checking for a pulse is that the compressions, when not needed, can stop a beating heart. there was that case a while ago with the lacrosse player, and a few years before that there was an instance of a football player hit in the chest with a shoulder hit, who had the same thing happen to him... amazing how for all we do to build ourselves up (at least those of us who care to) there are so many vulnerabilities to the human body.
