If you aren't a fan already, or need something new (and a bit angry, but in a good way) to listen to in the gym, try Shinedown. I stumbled upon one of their concerts two summers ago and they were AWESOME. They sound and look everything like the hard rock band they are. And they're from Jacksonville. And they love Lynyrd Skynyrd

Awesome band live! I have seen these guys at Floyd's here in TLH and they are very good straight up rock and roll. If you want to see their video for "Simple Man" go to the music video thread. They did it as a tribute to Dimebag!

when I saw them Skynyrd was all the talked about, and how...I dunno, something inspirational, something like they always just wanted to be a great rock band, and never let anyone tell you you can't be something big

they were fun, I'd love to see them again...them and Green Day

Ah, funny story. I use to work at a club as a bouncer and they came in one night and I asked to see their ID's cuz I didn't know who they were so there managers says "This is shinedown" and I was like "Who the fuck is shinedown?"

Well, long story short I did check their ID's but we ended up giving them free drinks all night anyways. Cool guys very grunge looking though. Music is pretty good, only song I really know of from them is "staring down the barrel of a .45"

They are a real great band. I enjoy their music.

45 is one of their best songs I think.
