Over the last several days I have been driving and pulled up alongside other cars wherein the parents/guardians are smoking with the windows cracked, and there are multiple children in the backseat.
I used to smoke, and im all for smoking when it doesn't endanger others... but this seriously enrages me. it should be common fucking sense to not smoke in a car with your children, step the fuck outside your house, wait till you drop the kids off, ANYTHING. we're about to hit the forest-fire season too and i see people throwing lit cigarettes out their windows, i know in CA the fines are astronomical, but people here don't seem to get it.
seriously, smoke if that's what you want to do, but be responsible for it. in china, with 10's of thousands of people biking to work in the morning, if someone has to put out a cigarette they pull over to the side of the road and extinguish in a public ashtray, which makes half the people i see look uncivilized by comparison.
