  • watched a guy die today

i was going into the local gas station this morning to grab a gallon of water before i hit the gym.

on my way in i see this older gentleman getting into a car. as i got inside i heard a loud yell ,agony type sound. i look out the window and see the guy on the ground pinned between the door and the seat.

i ran outside, he was still breathing but fading, me and another guy grabbed him, pulled his leg out from under him , [one leg was straight out and one was in a twisted kneeling position].
and laid him flat on his back, he felt clamy and his skin was cold, i see insulin on the door, i figured he went into insulin shock, his cousin was with him and grabbed some type of liquid and injected it. [suppose to get him out of the state he was in] but by then i felt no pulse,

a nurse who happened to be going by started pumping his chest, then a cop had the paddles, put them on him and gave him a quick jolt,

got a pulse and some movement but then nothing again, the ambulance came and they still were trying to revive him when i left but with no luck.

it was kinda weird watching the life leave his body, you could see the change in the color of his skin, he went completely pale in color.
but you know, the man looked peaceful, finally at rest.

both my daughters, one will be 4 the 26th and the other is 9 saw the whole thing from the explorer so i had some explaining to do to them

my 9 year old felt bad for him and the 4 year old still does not quite get what happened.

i just told them he went to sleep and will wake up in gods arms

My dad, a diabetic, passed away in June a week after father's day in a similar manor.

He got home with my mom from shopping and as he was walking up the 3 steps he just collapsed, immediately turned white and clammy. He's also had heart problems so mom called for an ambulence right away. Long story short he was revived in the ambulence after a lot of work but he didn't have a pulse for over 7 minutes so there were some major concerns. He lived on life support for another 2 1/2 days, never woke up, and finally passed away in my arms peacefully. Those days were the hardest days of my life...damn I miss him so much. I have his ashes in my armoire and I go and talk to him when no one else is home sometimes. I wonder if he hears me.

I watched an 18-year-old girl die once in a bar....she hit the deck and turned blue so fast....it was messed up. Later on, found out she was so full of cocaine and speed that her aorta basically exploded.

When you're number is up, it's up. Any time, any place, for any reason.

I have seen more than my share of death and it never gets easy to deal with.

I feel sorry for his family and freinds. Hope all is well with you and your girls house.

both my girls seem to be alright, have not said much about it today. just when i stopped to get water, i stop there everyday

                            which is cool

i know death is part of life but dont want to force the fact of it on my kids till there old enough to understand it
