Just curious if anyone knows what this could be....right under my chin, kinda where your neck and chin meet, there is a little lump/nodule type thing. Its really tender, sore to touch. Anyone know what that could be? Or what's in that spot?

i don't know, and i'm not a health expert. However, I wonder if asking online isn't just setting yourself up for needless or extra stress/worry. No one but a Dr. in person will be able to diagnose you with any certainty, so why add extra stress. I hope I'm not out of line or being disrespectful, but I've had ny own bouts of internet diagnosis induced panic...
wishing you well...

Hi FB,
Chances are this is nothing, its very common to have the odd bump/nodule in this area (I have the same thing). However, if it is new and if it is changing in size, you need to go to a doctor to get that checked out. There is a chance it could be a tumor on your thyroid, though again I wouldn't worry too much until you actually consult with a physician.
Good luck.

it's probably one of your lymph nodes... sometimes they can get sluggish moving fluid and swell, other times it could be indicative of an infection. If it doesn't go away it could be a variety of things including thyroid cancer, etc. Hope all goes well.

If it's on one or both sides of your neck, about an inch or so below your earlobe it could be a lymph node. Very common just prior to or during the initial stages of a cold. Typically nothing to worry about if that's what it actually is, but as stated, no way to know for sure without seeing and coon fingering it and even then can't say for sure why it's swollen without a lab.

I was going to suggest the same. Maybe swollen lymph nodes? I got one under my armpit several years ago and had my will written out & the coffin lining colours picked. Went to the Dr and he said it was just a swollen lymph node. It went away after a few weeks. Then last year I got several lumps all around my neck and on the lower back of my head. Back to the doctor & it was swollen lymph nodes again, they did however this time take blood and do tests. It was due to a virus, with a name i wouldnt even begin to pronounce. But nothing antibiotics didnt fix. They went away after about a month. They are not pussy or anything, but like bumps under the skin that are semi-hard & tender to touch and mostly show up under armpits, the neck and the groin.Originally posted by hlcn8it's probably one of your lymph nodes... sometimes they can get sluggish moving fluid and swell, other times it could be indicative of an infection. But as you know, toddle off to the doctor, because all lumps should be checked, you just never know.
Good luck FB!
