  • Ran A Marathon Today

It was my hometown marathon. Salt Lake City.

I have been battling some Patellofemoral pain all training so this run was not as fun as I had hoped.

Still finished in an admirable time of 4:12 but much slower than I had hoped.

Now I am sore as hell and will spend the next 1 1/2 days on the couch.

    :bbq:

considering he said he will be spending the next "1 1/2 days on the couch" I think that means he dosent have to work tommorow.

did you miss that or did you just have a little to much to drink tonight?

By the way Tinfish, Im not sure running a marathon is very good for anyone with Runners Knee. Take it easy on that knee brother. From what I understand, ice under a nice tight compression is a big help with patellofemoral pain.

Hope it gets better my friend, and congrats on the marathon.

holy shit, congratulations. i wish i could run a marathon and have attempted to train for one. i over-pronate my feet though and everytime i build up to 10 miles + the pain becomes excruciating (sp?).
good job bro, rest up and take in some good meals.

Congratulations bro - I ENVY YOU...

I used to train with my ex-wifes dad and he ran sub 3 hour marathons. He was a brutal training partner and had me doing all sorts of crazy things. I loved the mental aspects of it but I realized I would rather be "big" and I responded to weights much better than I liked running. Sometimes I wonder where I would be if I stuck with the running thing. Sooooooooo many paths in life and it's a shame we can only choose a few....

That sucks. I usually know why I'm moody...most often it's PMS related.

And I'm no hippy! I may be old but I'm not a baby boomer.
