    Honestly though, I have always wanted to keep my "country" home as my main residence and have a cabin one of my grandparents plots in CO and a shack on the beach....

    Someday ;)......

    If you build an SM compound I want to share a room with FB! :D

    I think Rado and Cory should share a room too! :D

      Either Australia, where I am now in England, or back up to Yorkshire England, I worked 5 1/2 years in the city(London), wouldn't want to go back there, too much hassle and I need space or it plays with my digestion LOL

        I'm sure there are so many places over seas (from the US) that would be great to live. I would love to live in Poland. It's got a very relaxed feeling even in the city area (well probably not warsaw). But the oportunities just aren't there and it's very hard to make a decent living. But the country is beautiful.

            Well assuming we are talking about realistic posabilities. Where would you like to live? Is raleigh a top choice or do you plan on going somewhere else?

              The places I mentioned are realistic.

              Raleigh is nice but no its not on my list of places I want to be. Are next move will probably be to the Boca Raton area. Sana already has an open job offer down there and for me, the closer I am to rado the better. LMAO.. With my luck we will probably move in next door to the cock sucker. :)

                  I didn't mean unrealistic as in being able to afford it. I meant more as in realistic as a place you have talked seriously about going, but maybe you have... It just sounded like the way I talk about Poland. I could realisticly move there, it just wouldn't be a good option.

                    Ya, I get ya. I havent really talked about moving to those places but I like to think that when I get older that we may retire to one of those places.

                      We have talked about retiring to Poland. Save up plenty of money. We could probably live nicely simply off social security though :)

                        What's the weather like in Austraila year round?

                          From what I understand (hopefully I don't screw this all up) if you don't leave on the coast it's not that great. It's like all desert. But I never asked how much "country" living there is around. Also the season are opposite to ours.

                          * Summer: December to February
                          * Autumn: March to May
                          * Winter: June to August
                          * Spring: September to November

                            Depends where you are. Thats like asking what the weather is like in america year round. Some places is colder and warmer then others.

                              I would really like to retire to Maui, somewhere on the north coast on the road to Hana. Build a nice Japanese style house there and I'll be set for the simple life. Gotta be after my kids are in college though - I have heard that schools in Hawaii are terrible.

                                i like the convenience of being near the city (not in it mind you), with the option of being able to retreat to the country. i have some friends who live in the sticks, and there's no such thing as popping into the store to pick up a few extra supplies/groceries. they have to plan their shopping carefully and if they forget something it's either "oh well," or "let's make a 30 minute drive to pick something up."
