Dammit, got my hopes up that this one would be better but everyone I've talked to said it blows......Screw it, I'm not going see it. Goes to show you what marketing and hype does for a movie though.......Something like 300 million world wide in the first weekend.....that's crazy!

No, not yet. My plans got changed that weekend - and now I'm not in a real rush to see it.

Finally went and saw the movie. I actually enjoyed it. It was a little long (2 hr 20 mins) and there was definitely some unnecessary filler - but overall I thought it was good. There were some really cool special effects and more action than this thread would lead you to believe. Topher Grace wasn't a distraction like I thought he would be - he didn't look anything like Eric from That 70's Show lol.

They changed the Venom character a bit, but I think they pulled it off pretty well. I don't know what everyone is complaining about. Have any of them actually read any of the comic books? In every volume, it was MJ this, MJ that.... The whole love thing between Parker and MJ was a huge part of the original story. They can't just leave it out.

I was actually going to comment about that. There really isn't much to Peter Parker if you leave out MJ.
