No offense to anyone from North Carolina or the south in general, but I just cant take you fuckers anymore! lol. I can absolutely understand why there was a war between the north and south. The way of life, the way people talk, the way people handle things in the south is something I can take no longer. Me and sana have been down here in North Carolina for a little over a year and that is about a year too long. lol. I guess I have too much New Jersey in me and I dont think that mixes too well with the south.

Hopefully in the next few months once we sell the house we will be going back to jersey. Once that happens you guys can all welcome back the old bouncer. You know, the one with the attitude. :D

A lot of the times it is definitely all about where you were raised. And you can notice a huge difference in people from the north and south (in general). I was raised in the north and have always been a very hard worker, always early, always working w/a sense of urgency. Then I went to the Army and it magnified all my work ethics. BUT....when I moved to Florida...holy hell. The majority of people I worked with are so casual about getting to work on time and getting a job done. People are definitely more laid back some may even say lazy. I've learned to live with it. Sometimes its good and others not. But it sure has allowed me to move up in the work force faster than others.

I guess I would most likely be considered Southern and I have a VERY good work ethic and would never think of arriving to anything late. I think it has more to do with how you were raised in general - not what part of the country you are from. However, I can understand how the differences are perceived. I just love all the different parts of the U.S. and can't imagine hating an entire region based off of a few experiences. Maybe you part of North Carolina just sucks etc...

Anyways - can you elaborate on "the way people handle things" as I can somewhat understand "the way people talk" part....

Surely it has to do w/the way you were raised and personal pride as well. I'm just going from my experience through life and unfortunately when I compare it to the people I have worked with while up north, people I've worked w/from the north and south while in the Army as well as here in Florida my observation is that there is a definite difference in ethics and attitudes. Maybe its the heat who knows. Either way, regardless of where you were raised and/or work, there are always going to be slackers and like I said...they make it easier to move up.

Here in Raleigh, people tend to not say anything that is on there mind and just look at you with a smile. Its a fake kind of smile that I cannot stand. Its just very very different down here bro. I dont mean to put you or anyone down. I feel like I am in a different country down here. And this in in Raleigh, I cant imagine being in the real south. In any case, raleigh is too south for me and I cant take it anymore. I need to drive on the Jersey Turnpike, I need to eat a real pizza, i need to smell that jersey air. lol. i need sound when i sleep. all i hear at night here is frogs and shit.

All easily understood - I have friends who I have visited from up North and sometimes I wonder why in the hell they can't just hold their tongues. It is like they speak without thinking - but of course I was taught to take other people's thoughts and feelings into consideration before flying off the handle. Again, I suppose everyone is just different (even other people who are from where we are)...

I miss Texas more than you can imagine (but I love Atlanta too) so I can sympathize. I like the "frogs and shit" part - I can just see you getting pissed at the sounds of nature....
