I like the Kodak ones. I like how they are simple and easy to use. I dont ever really use many of the extra options anyway. I cant see that you need any more then a 5 megapixel unless you plan on enlarging a lot of pictures 8x10 or more. I got the GF one from Costco a while ago and the screen quit working so I took it back (Costco has a kickass return policy) and got her the smaller one. She likes the smaller one better. Easier to bring and we end up using it more.

I had a Kodak, and it died on it's own one day. And I only had it just over a year. Figures. Dies after warranty. I used it turned it off, when I wanted to use it again e few minutes later it kept showing some error code on the screen. So I went and got a new Panasonic. It's 5.0 megapixel,it has 6x optical zoom and anti shake,so your pictures won't be blury if you are moving.
It takes great pictures, and it's very easy to use, cost around $200. Model number is DMC-LZ3.

I really like my Canon PowerShot S2IS. Great image stabilization and most importantly, high optical zoom for outdoor photography, etc.Originally posted by babybluesCanon Powershot. Any of the SD500 or SD600 series. I have an SD630 with the 3" LCD and I love it.
Recommendations depend on what you want it for. Size, optical zoom, speed, CCD card are all factors and really depend on the functionality you need from the camera. I admit I don't take mine everywhere I might if it were smaller, so I would take that into consideration.

i have the Canon Powershot i think its the SD500 or SD610 (maybe older model) got it about 1-2 years ago its great you can make videos, preview pics easily, auto setting makes taking pics easy and quality is outstanding. also the price is excellent
Its a consumer reorts best buy. IMO the flash recharge between shots is rediculously long especially compared to othe cameras. it drves me nuts. if your using the flash it takes forever for the next shot. forget about getting a fast moving oject.
Dell is good. I also use these sites. Check for ecoupons.com now and then for more discounts.
