    I don't know what calc you have but on a side note the TI-89 or TI-92 work great at solving multi-variable equations simultaneously.

      we were not allowed to use anything above a TI-83

        TI-83 is the standard for all lower level and most upper level math classes. If it changes from the TI-83, it's mostly the fucking bonehead teacher's preference and he/she only knows one particular calculator and can't explain anything unless it's that one.
