What's everyone's opinion on wearing gloves while lifting weights? I started out using them when I first got into it, but the padding on the inside kept me from having as good of a grip as I wanted. For example, on dedlifts, I took the gloves off and chalked up good and was able to pull another 50#. I have since developed such callasses (sp?) on my hands that nothing bothers me. Just curious of the benefits or disadvantages.
